HOW IS THE LIFE IN AND AROUND
TLOS-YAKAPARK
It is 45 km. away from Fethiye. It is one of the 6 big cities of Lycia Federal Union and "sports center" of the union. It is known as the city in which Mythological hero, Bellaforonte, known with
Pegasus with his horse with flying wings.
It is determined that it is the oldest city of Lycia region and founded before 2000s B. C. via archeological excavations. Its graveyard, established over natural rock of city acropolis, is decorated with most beautiful house type tombs. It is known as king type tomb dated century B. C. in Necropolis is devoted to Bellaforonte.
How to get there: Some travel agenciesrun daily trips to Tlos, if you want to be little more adventures you can hire a moped for a day (1 hour ride)
On the front of acropol they are many cementaries. The most famous and important one is the tomb of "Bellerophontes". On the front side it has the picture of him on The Pegasus which is a horse with wings and he is fighting against the Dragon Chimera with three heads.
Still today you can discover the rests of the tempel of "Bellerophontes" and the rest of this antique city.
You can visit TLOS by the daily tours, by the jeep safaris done by the travel agencies, by renting car or using private transportation.

Tlos is etablished on the top of the hill and YAKA DOGA PARK is builed on the nord wall of the hill and it is a nature relaxing place with restaurants and cafes.
It has beautiful vegetation full with coloured flowers and water falls.
Around Tlos and Yaka Doga Park it is country area.
It is a silience loveing peoples selected region. In the town it is existing healt corner. For hospital reason the next location is Fethiye. They are several markets for shopping. Around the towns they are many possibilities for trekking, shopping of turkish hand made crafts and enyojing of turkish hosbility.The climate is a little cooler than Fethiye inside.
